Frozen food requires ten times more energy to produce than fresh food. Yikes. All of that preparing, freezing, packaging and shipping really takes a toll on efficiency and the environment. So today, do your part by eating one fresh meal. Resist the urge to nuke some prepackaged delight and reach for whole fruits, organic veggies or even some tasty treats from the deli. You may not be ready to ditch all of your frozen entrees (those pizzas can be convenient when you’re in a bind), but you just might like choosing the fresh options over the frozen ones, anyway.
