For years now drivers have been incentivized by HOV lanes, and more often than not, carpoolers knew one another. But what if you don’t know anyone who’s going the same direction? GoLoco is an improbable idea that combines the environmental need to burn fewer fossil fuels with the social impact of meeting and knowing our neighbors. You can find folks running the same errands as you and save on gasoline and wear and tear. Though not for everyone (and not nearly everywhere) this idea definitely has legs, er, wheels.
