Grow Where You Are

A friend of Cool People Care alerted us to this cool concept that’s taking root (get it?) in Colorado. Urban families and organizations are opening up their yards and lots to farmers. In exchange for using their plot, homeowners and businesses get some of what’s grown. The rest becomes part of a CSA or is donated to other folks in need of healthy, organic food. Talk about local eating! Best of all, a sense of community is developed between all those participating. Does anyone near you do a similar thing? If so, tell us about it in the comments!
