For a lot of people, Labor Day signals the unofficial end of summer. But for some other people, the first Monday in September is another day on the job. So, as you venture out to get one more day of swimming or barbecuing in, make sure to thank the people who are on the clock today. Whether they’re serving you food or selling you gas, a smile and a thank you will make their time at work more pleasant (hopefully). Better yet, make sure you do this every time you go shopping, and not just on the federal holidays.
