Let's Go Fly a Kite!

This weekend, dig your favorite kite out of the garage, or do an Internet search for directions on making your own with materials from around your home. Allow your children to decorate the kite or tie on ribbons to personalize it. If there are too many trees in your backyard, find a field or school yard, and give your new kite a whirl. Use this time to talk to your kids about their plans and dreams for the future, and make sure they know you believe that they’ll also be able to soar in life, just like that kite.
