Lights Out

In honor of Earth Hour, read your child’s bedtime story by candlelight. Instead of using a night-light, leave the candle burning so they are not afraid of the dark and you can participate in Earth Hour as a family. Explain to them why the lights are off. Make sure to be safe and have the candle out of reach of those little hands. You can make a difference in big ways by doing small things. Once they’re asleep, make sure to blow out the candle. You will save energy and add a special ambiance to your child’s bedtime routine.
