January is National Birth Defects Prevention month. In the US, one out of every 33 babies is born with a birth defect. And while much money and research have been spent in lowering this rate, there is still much to be done. Take a minute today to learn more about the March of Dimes and the National Birth Defects Prevention Network. These two organizations need donations and volunteers to continue the good work they’re doing all over the world. Even if you’re not a parent or don’t know someone affected, your help is still badly needed and greatly appreciated.
