Medicine Cabinet Clean Out

The time is just right for some spring cleaning, so spend a few minutes today cleaning out those medications that may be expired or no longer in use. Take any expired medications from your cabinets. Do not flush the medications or put them in the trash. Most pharmacies or hospitals will properly dispose of these items. Also, most household hazardous waste dumps take medications, so check with your local center. This way you will keep the medications out of our local water systems. Throughout the process, make sure all medications of any kind are out of reach of children.
