Night Lights

Accent and landscape lighting can be soothing, serene and beautiful as it illuminates our homes and handiwork in the lawn. But, it can also be distracting, harmful, and useless. If you really don’t need the lights, turn them off. And, make sure you’re not pointing your outdoor lighting directly upwards. Doing so causes unwanted light pollution and prevents stargazers from taking in the night’s natural beauty. Errant lighting can also be problematic for migratory birds, killing millions of them a year. So instead of lighting up the night sky, just point the thing directly at your intricately manicured topiary.
