The Greening of Your Lights
If you’re the type to wait until the turkey has had its day to don your house with wreaths, lights, and other Christmas-y goodness, then make sure you’re hanging the right kind of lights. Those old lights you’ve had in the attic forever could be wasting your money – not to mention filling the nearby air with CO2. Check it out: if you’re the extravagant type (a la Clark Griswold), then you could be producing well over 800 pounds of carbon dioxide with your display.
What’s a cool person to do? If you’re in need of some LED strands, then now’s the time. Here’s a set that uses up to 80% less energy than conventional Christmas lights (Amazon affiliate link).
