A Very Public Mess

We all use the public spaces in our cities and towns, but we usually leave the cleaning and maintenance of these areas to paid professionals. However, there are simple acts we can all take in order to make our urban jungles not look like pigsties. After you pick up that piece of litter someone else carelessly discarded, sweep the sidewalk in front of your house. Take down and recycle the outdated poster on the utility pole (and maybe pull out a rusty staple or two). Advocate for more public art. Do the little things to make your community shine.
