What Do You Think?

It is extremely vital that we teach our kids how important they are and how much we value their voice in our home. When family decisions are being made, involve your kids in this process. Let them know that you’ll make the final decision, but would love to hear their feedback. When your kids come to you with thoughts, feelings or questions, try some of these supportive phrases:

• That sounds really important to you.

• How did you feel about that?

• Do you understand what that means?

• What do you think?

• That’s a great question!
