Wii Can All Save Energy

Ever since the days of Pong, video game consoles have been sucking energy. And, now with high tech systems that can turn us all into guitar heroes, some systems can use as much energy as two refrigerators. As this NPR story points out, by powering down your consoles after finishing a round of Tiger Woods Golf, you’ll save about $100 a year and collectively take the equivalent of all the cars in San Jose off the road. Many systems also have auto power down features buried in the menu, so check that out right before you save the princess.
