Year of the Youth

Today is International Youth Day, and with it begins the International Year of the Youth. This is a time designated by the United Nations in order to celebrate the energy, imagination, and initiatives of young people everywhere while recognizing their crucial contributions to enhancing peace and development. To do your part, find an organization near you that gives voice to young people. The UN site also provides a list of things you can do to support youth near you and around the world. And remember: teenagers aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow. They are leaders right now as well.
